With support of the University Grants Commission under the Project CPE the college attempts to provide leadership in catering quality higher education in western part of West Bengal particularly in the economically backward district of Bankura. Through this project, the college attempts to achieve the following objectives:
Ø To procure and utilize modern infrastructure including ICT materials.
Ø To provide the best platform for learning and to ensure participation of students to career oriented courses.
Ø To provide up-to-date infrastructure for research involving the undergraduate students.
Ø To provide consultancy to upgrade the other colleges and to constitute a network with the colleges of the Bankura, Purulia and Paschim Medinipore.
Ø To promote faculty exchange, conducting seminar, symposia, workshop and preparation of need based study materials.
Ø To provide input for societal development and to establish few model schools.

Teaching (UG):
· Development of modern classrooms by using ICT based aids like LCD projectors, green and white boards and other teaching aids.
· Installation of modern security system in the central library.
· Digitization of books and journals and providing unique code no. to library infrastructures.
· Installation of instruments for moisture control in the central library.
· Providing reprographic and internet facilities and extend SMS facilities to teachers, staff and students.

Teaching (PG):
· Procurement of modern books, e-books/journals, conducting training programme to equip students with various skills for their personality development as well as to prepare them for competitive examinations.

Research:
· Regular maintenance of central Instrumentation centre including servicing of costly instruments and procurement of instruments for undergraduate research laboratory.
· Establishment of a research division for social sciences and publication of research findings by the concerned faculty members.
· Continuation of publication of the Journal “Wesleyan Journal of Research”
· Procurement of materials for promoting project based learning among students.

Extension:
· Providing consultancy to other colleges of the district and to constitute a network with the colleges of Bankura, Purulia and Paschim Medinipore districts.

· Conducting short-term courses on Women empowerment.
· Providing need based input to selected Rural Schools of Bankura district.

1. Lab upgradation:
vUpgraded various UG Lab as per new CBCS syllabus and also for Project based learning.
2. Library Automation:
v Setting up of touch screen monitor for searching of instant status of library stock.
v Installation of EM Gate and RFID tag for entering Automatic Library security system.
v Setting up of e-book reading section for students.
3. Books and Journal :
v Procurement of e-book for student-friendly reading.
v Procurement of books for newly introduced CBCS system, also for general aptitude for various competitive exam and employment purpose.
4. Upgradation of class rooms & seminar Hall:
v Environment of class rooms are upgraded with projectors, screen, digital podium, sound system.
v Upgraded college seminar hall at ‘Wesleyan Block’.

v Promoted research for social science departments by provided tools for various research purpose.
